| Hey guys, According to the auto to manual HOWTO, it appears that its the norm to bypass the starter relay and wire it to the clutch pedal switch, hence you need to press the pedal in order to start the car. However, as noted above, you bypass the starter relay completely. In fact, the HOWTO tells you to remove the switch completely. How safe is this procedure? What does the starter relay actually do? What is the thickness of the wire ( gauge ) that needs to be run from the relay bypass to the clutch switch? thanks everyone for your input.
